One of a kind cherry custom desk with ash lower panels and ebony drawer pulls. Dovetailed drawers out of Siberian elm with sycamore drawer bottoms. Notice the crack in the cherry slab top spanned by 3 ebony butterflies to add style and strength to prevent further checking.
Lower ash panels are the natural shape of the slab before it was sawn up
into matching panels. This allows for maximum use of the highly figured crotch panels and
beautiful live edge and open corners.
The custom desk back bends to match the subtle and graceful curve of the top slab of Pennsylvania cherry. The top is a 24" - 26" wide single piece of cherry with two natural or "live" edges which display beautiful sapwood on its inner and outer edges. Note the ebony arrow highlight in the center of the panels of the desk back. The cherry slab was hand selected in Pennsylvania in the Lancaster area during a buying trip in 1995. The ash in the lower panels was purchased in 1992 from a farmhouse in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. It took about 7 years to finalize the design for this truly "one of a kind desk". Size 24-26" W x 30" H x 72" L. Shipping for this custom desk is available in the continental United States, there may be an additional
shipping charge for Alaska and Hawaii. Large items are blanket wrapped and shipped
on padded van lines. Some smaller pieces may be boxed and shipped with other
